How would the way you conduct business change if
you had an attorney on retainer for all of your legal needs, both large
and small? Would you feel more confident if you could affordably contact
an attorney for issues such as contract enforcement, to review
documents, deposit issues, violations, or maybe just to get some legal
advice for your client before they close? While Rhode
Island provides plenty of opportunity for agents, unfortunately it is
also one of the most litigious states in the country. The odds are good
that at some point you are going to need legal assistance. With the
average rate of legal services being about $200 per hour, expenses
can really mount up fast. Aside from the possibility of being sued,
agents are regularly faced with a number of routine business decisions
from confusing zoning matters, violations, contracts and other business
documents, to dealing with RESPA issues. All of these issues would be
easier to deal with if you had the assistance of an attorney.
Unfortunately, most agents cannot afford to retain attorneys to help
them make the right decisions. Furthermore, the attorneys they do know
usually handle real estate, not these types of issues.
